We created this virtual program of math enrichment to multiply [ not divide 😉 ] common core standards skills to improve your child’s academic self-confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Village Solutions Mathematics Specialists, who are mathematicians and master teachers, use a unique question-based approach to teach advanced mathematics to groups of students while helping them with their grade-level math. We use constant feedback with hand signals and other techniques to help students:
- learn through discovery and increase understanding
- increase their time on task
- explain their thinking and understand others’ ideas
- improve their success and achievement
- explore math ideas outside of lessons
- find out about interesting math that they will learn in the future
- release energy by moving around
